Josh Komis, Lead Pastor

Josh is the Lead Church Planter and Pastor for Living Hope Church. He came to Christ at the age of 6, and God called him into pastoral ministry during his college years. He received his Master of Divinity from Shepherds Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry from The Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served and pastored in churches in North Carolina and Virginia for the past 12 years. During that time, God grew his desire to plant a healthy church and reach the people of North Sarasota with the gospel.
He has a passion for sharing the Word, developing leaders, and seeing churches planted that bring light to the spiritual darkness of Florida and beyond. To this end, he authored the book The Multiplying Leader to help other Christian leaders rediscover God’s plan for healthy replication.
He has an amazing life and ministry partner in his wife, Lacey. They have four beautiful kids. Josh and Lacey are both certified Christian coaches. On rest days, you'll find the Komises enjoying family days, home improvement projects, trips to the beach, golf, and ice cream runs.
Dennis Komis, Pastor of Community & Care

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Dennis came to know Christ as his personal Savior during his junior year in college. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Bible from Bob Jones University, a Master of Divinity degree from Central Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Master of Biblical Counseling from The Master’s College. After 20 years of pastoral ministry in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois, Dennis served on the Bible faculty at Maranatha Baptist University and Seminary for 9 years. Since 2016 he has served as the Pastor of Counseling and Care at Lakewood Baptist Church in suburban Milwaukee. The Lord has blessed Dennis and Chris with four Christ-honoring children and 12 grandchildren, and the greatest joy of his heart is to see his children walking in the Truth.
Favorite parts of the ministry: Preaching God’s powerful Word; coming alongside hurting people and providing hope and help through biblical counsel.
Favorite activities: family get-togethers, walks with his beautiful bride and their faithful companion, Callie; reading theology and history; dining out.
